my graduation story

It's more than just photos, it's a preservation of your memories and a celebration of your accomplishments!

Graduating in 2020 during the peak of the pandemic was an interesting [difficult] experience. I had been taking grad photos for several years at this point and was thrilled that my time had finally come to graduate and celebrate the end of my time at UCD. I studied abroad in Berlin during the fall quarter and a few months after my return, everything shut down. I was hopeful that things would turn around and I would still be able to have the senior year I had always envisioned, but quickly realized that would not be possible.

My grad photos from undergrad are so important to me because they capture such a special, although at times tumultuous, time in my life. They celebrate the hard work, effort, and joys I experienced in college and remind me of what a great time I had in Davis. Even though I wasn't able to walk the stage that year and participate in commencement, I have these beautiful portraits that bring me back to those same feelings of excitement, joy, and accomplishment.

Working with 2020 grads, I heard the same sentiment over and over again: I won't get to walk the stage but I want to make sure I still have portraits that celebrate my graduation. I don't take for granted that so many people chose me to capture this huge milestone for them, and that for all of us, this was all we would have from the end of our time at Davis.

Rafa and I feel so incredibly honored when you choose us to capture your graduation portraits. I can guarantee that these are portraits you will turn back to for years to come and remember all of the joy and excitement that came with the end of this chapter. Thank you for choosing us to capture such an exciting and special time in your life!

xoxo, Victoria

UC DAVIS GRADS

No matter how many times we go back, we never get tired of taking grad photos at UC Davis. The campus feels so fresh and is so beautiful, and every grad we work with is always so kind. We have been taking grad photos at UCD since 2017, and have learned a lot over the years. We know the best spots to take grad photos and when the lighting is best at each location.

While we aren't able to shoot at UCD as often as we would like since we don't live in California anymore, we still make an effort to go back at least once or twice before spring graduation. We would love to capture this huge milestone for you, so please don't hesitate to reach out and inquire about our travel dates to California!

Below are some grad photos we've taken over the years!
